The renowned Korean pop group, Super Junior, has launched its 6th album, entitled “Sexy, Free & Single” on July 1. Only the teaser and highlight medley of the carrier single, which uses the same title, has been released 3 days ago. However, with the song set for launch on non-digital stores tomorrow, July 4, SMTown has finally released the whole MV on its official YouTube account.
“Sexy, Free & Single” features a slick, cool theme. Displaying 4 unique sets (3 for group dance and song and 1 for close-ups/solos) and 5 changes of clothes, the carrier single marks Kangin’s comeback from military and Leeteuk’s last album before he start his compulsory military service late this year.

The MV highlights cool new sets with very modern feel. The members’ individual style exudes confidence and, without doubt, sexiness while the dance is relatively easy but sensational, thanks to the choreography from esteemed Devin Jamieson–the man behind the choreographs of singers like Michael Jackson, Usher, Hillary Duff, and Britney Spears.
Kangin is looking mighty fine in this video, although he will probably aim to lose some pounds. To be honest, I feel like he was pulled to work too soon; he barely had time to rest after his military release when the preparation, shoots, and promotions for the 6th album started.
Leeteuk of the famed KangTeuk couple, on the other hand, is looking hot and sexy. His solo clothes–or should I call them accessories?–reveals Teukie oppa’s good physique. I feel this is a way to get more attention from fans and viewers. No, I do not mean that as a bad thing. When you are going to be absent from the industry for two years, which is really a long time when you think about it, you need to make sure that people strongly remember you. Now, I know that Super Junior and angel Leeteuk has immense following, and millions of people will be waiting for his return. Nevertheless, getting the spotlight before you leave can do wonders.
Now, onto the other members.
First, Yesung. I have to emphasize this: I am Yesung biased. I love Ye Sung/Yesung/YeSung to the core. I just can’t help but fall in love with his very soothing voice and very quirky nature. In this particular MV, his exposure is a little toned but satisfying nonetheless.
For Shindong, I can’t help but feel his exposure or focus is soooo short. I hope they give him more time in the next MVs, although I am aware that doing so can be tough when their group has so many members. Or is it because Shindong is technically “not single”?
Eunhyuk looks as cool as ever. His aura when dancing is really something to reckon with. His solo outfit is also cool in my opinion.
Siwon. Well, I have to say, when it comes to getting attention through physique, no one in Suju can beat him. Lol. Anyway, in this MV, he again displays his built abs for people to see–something I am sure will get more fans screaming with joy.
Donghae leads the opening of the song with such a smooth voice. He seems to be getting cooler and cooler with every new MV.
Although Sungmin is often seen as quite effeminate like Ryeowook, he always displays a rough tough look in MVs, and this one is no exception. I think the black net on his shoulders should be kept throughout their dance in one of the sets, though (you will probably understand what I mean once you have watched the MV for a good number of times).
Dear Ryeowook still looks cute here. For some reason, no matter what he wears, he still looks cute and child-like.
Finally, Kyuhyun. As always, Kyu displays a mature aura. I wonder if they can make him feel younger in the next MVs. Oh, I do not mean he looks old, just that he seems to think and act older than his age, so I can’t help but wonder how he will look like if they try to style him in such a way that he will look and feel younger–kind of like Ryeowook or something.
